Alexz Renteria is a writer, producer, and filmmaker with over a decade of experience in the entertainment industry. She began her career making independent horror films with her college professor, Julian Grant (SWEET LEAF, ARKHAM SANITARIUM: SOUL EATER), and has since worked at Blumhouse Productions, Gunpowder & Sky, Warrior Poets, and The Cinemart. Her credits include working as a director’s assistant on Blumhouse’s SINISTER 2 and as a production coordinator on Netflix’s "The Pharmacist," Hulu’s "Fyre Fraud," and Paramount Network’s "The Trayvon Martin Story." She is also a former co-host of the GHOUL CHAT podcast.Alexz is currently an Associate Producer at Key To The City Productions in New York City, where her recent credits include the independent feature film NICE EGGS, the 2025 Broadway production of THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY, and the upcoming Broadway musical GALILEO, opening at the Shubert Theatre in fall 2026.Alongside producing, Alexz writes and develops original work across film, television, and literary mediums. Her short film DOLL PARTS was named a finalist for the Shore Scripts Shore Film Fund in 2026, and she plans to direct the film in early 2027.Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Alexz holds a BA in Cinema Art + Science with a minor in Arts Management from Columbia College Chicago.
